Senator Bong Go has denied allegations linking him to the contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya regarding flood control projects.
"Hindi ko po kilala ang mga Discaya, wala po akong kinalaman sa kanila at wala po akong pakialam sa mga Discaya," the senator said at a press conference.
Go also expressed that he is being targeted amidst the flood control investigations.
Saying that he has nothing to hide, the Senator added that he is welcome to inquiries regarding the matter.
"I welcome any investigation. Let the facts speak for themselves. Wala akong tinatago, wala akong kinatatakutan dahil wala akong kasalanan. Hindi ako sangkot sa anumang anomalya," he stated.
He also announced that he is willing to press charges against his relatives if the allegations were found true.
“Kung may pagkakamali o pagkukulang man ang kamag-anak ko, ako na mismo ang magpapakaso at magpapakulong po sa kanila,” the senator said.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon, along with Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla, announced that they were looking into alleged ties between the Discayas and CLTG Builders, owned by Go’s father.
The Discayas have withdrawn from the investigations led by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).
