As part of their annual tradition, Explained PH will hold the biggest edition of their virtual JournCamp+ lecture series, with the first National Campus Press Summit 2025 where thousands of scribes nationwide will compete in their chosen categories.
The lecture series will be held on Nov. 8, 9, 15 and 16, while the National Campus Press Summit 2025 will take place on Nov. 22, 23, 29 and 30.
It will serve as an online press conference where campus journalists from the elementary, high school to tertiary level, in both English and Filipino mediums will showcase their skills.
Winners from the virtual competition will receive a medal and certificate to recognize their efforts, and they will be given a chance to join the Explained PH Organization as a staffer.
Keynote speakers in the lecture series will feature professional journalists, award-winning practitioners and National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) winners, as the initiative also aims to give top-notch training to scribes nationwide.
The lecturer’s lineup is yet to be announced by Explained PH on their official Facebook Page and website for this year’s JournCamp+.
Campus journalists who will join the virtual press conference will represent not just their publications, but their respective schools as well.
The participants may request a formal invitation letter from Explained PH to be sent to their student publications. Participants may join multiple contest categories, both in the individual and group competitions.
The registration period has began on Oct. 7 and will last until Nov.6, while the package will include all JournCamp+ lectures and a slot for the National Campus Press Summit.
