Two teen cockfighters who were found dead have been confirmed to be part of the 34 missing cockfighters 4 years ago. They were tied in sandbags and buried at Taal Lake—a state witness said.
Myson Ramos, 14 and John Paul de Luna, 17 joined by their friends: Nazareno Biscante, Ricky Boy Ignacio, and Ariel Teposo to their boss on December 30, 2021 at Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
The two insisted to join cockfighting to earn income for their surprise to their parents, his aunt Janice Esplana said in an interview with GMA Integrated News on Saturday.
According to her, her nephews did not return after the cockfighting with their friends.
"Yung sasakyan po ay hindi na po bumalik. Tapos po ay may nag-report po sa amin na natagpuan po yung sasakyan doon sa Taguig," she said.
Janice and other parents and guardians of the missing cockfighters talked with one of the accused suspects, alias "Totoy", stating all of those missing did not survive.
"Lahat walang nakaligtas. Ako na magsabi sa inyo, pasensya na pero lahat walang nakaligtas," he said.
Amidst the pain among families of the missing cockfighters, Janice was relieved to know their fate in order to take action against those who were responsible behind this.
"Sa amin po ay sobrang laking tulong po. Napakasaya po namin at kahit paano po sa pakikipaglaban po namin ay nagkaroon po ng magandang linaw," she said.
She emphasized the equal justice to impose, especially to people like them who are economically and financially challenged.
"Sana po ay bigyan po ng hustiya kaming mahihirap na bagaman po kami [ay] wala pong pera. Ang batas naman po ay para sa lahat, hindi lamang po para sa mayayaman," she added.
On the other hand, alias "Totoy" would submit his affidavit of testimony, naming two other suspects behind the disappearance of other cockfighters including Michael Bautista and three others.
He is ready to take accountability before the Court and the authority for the case on disappeared and slayed cockfighters.
